Oh, I hate the cold here, and we were greeted with 6 inches of snow!

This was the first snow for the twin set...or at least the first snow they were able to play in. Last year when they were born 5.5 weeks early, they certainly couldn't be taken out in bad weather. Here's a picture of them from the NICU.

We had to buy snow suits for the twin girl and twin boy to go out in the snow! Lots of fun out in the cold weather if they have on the snow pants too. I personally prefer the separate snow pants and coat since you can change diapers easily--and you can use the pants/coat separately, if needed. And the water-proof type are the best!

The Twin twin dad took the twin set out to play in the snow, and he made an igloo for them. They started playing, and we found the twin boy in the igloo. I would give almost anything to live here during the winter. The twin twin set seems to enjoy it too. We go for a walk every day; most days it's 65-70 degrees F. We brought out stroller and it's a good thing! It was just about the worst experience of my life so far--the plane ride. The twin girl cried for 2.5 hours of the 4-hour plane ride, but the twin boy was fine. I think the twin girl refused to go to sleep on the plane, so she totally skipped one of her naps and was not happy.

We were so busy trying to keep the other passengers from killing the twin girl that we practically forgot about the twin boy, but we found him asleep just where we left him, across the isle. We were lucky to have an entire row to ourselves!

After arriving at the outlaws' place just east of Phoenix, the fraternal twins settled down. My outlaws are awesome: they bought two Graco Pack N Play and two front-facing carseatsfor the babies, so we wouldn't have to haul all that stuff. It was set up like a dream, although you may think this sounds crazy, but the cribs were set up in the closet of the guest room. Yes, I said closet. It's a large walk-in with nothing else in there, so honestly, it's as big as a small nursery. It really worked out great because we could almost close the door to it for naptimes, and no light came in.

Twin Baby Shot

We tried to take the twin baby set's picture today with our horrible digital camera and it was a miserable experience for all. The twin sister had it last week, but I really didn’t think it was pink eye until the twin baby boy showed signs of it last night. We ordered some pink eye relief drops from the twin twin store.

I thought pink eye was much worse than this: the fraternal twins seem tired, and the area on their eyelids, around the eyes, is red with guppies. It’s worse after they wake up since the guppies seem more excessive and are dried up, almost keeping their eyes shut.

The twin sister isn’t showing any symptoms today, but the twin baby boy ‘s eye is still red, just the left one.

We had plans to have some friends over today: a set of fraternal twins born just six weeks after our twins, and their mom of course, were going to come over to play and eat lunch, but I called them last night to let them know about the baby boy’s eyes, and they decided not to come. I was sure that would be the outcome.

Twin Baby Hurts Leg in Carseat Carrier

Yesterday, the twin baby boy injured his leg because he's gotten too big for the carseat carrier, the one that snaps into the car base. His legs are too long, so when the twin twin father put the carrier into the base, the twin baby 's leg was turned just the wrong way. In case you’re wondering, the twin boy is on the left. The twin baby girl looks a bit like a baby boy.

We didn’t have many trick-or-treaters, which was probably good since I could dress only one of the fraternal twins in a costume.

Twin Baby Shakes

The twin baby girl and twin baby boy are now able to hold their own bottles. We had a pool party, and our neighbors and a few friends came over. The twin baby set did great in the water. We used the disposable baby swim pants or swimpants. Their nieces came over to help us since having a party with people in the water—and having twin twin babies in the pool is a lot of work...I wouldn't want them to get lost at the pool party. I think people would be surprised how easily a baby could get lost or drown when there are so many people around, and so much noise.

Don’t you just love these Bebe Pod chairs? It cost $89, but the seat comes off so when the twin baby set can walk, the fraternal twins can use it as a play table, and it has a lunch tray on it!

I definitely like these toys because after feeding the twin baby boy and twin sister, we can put them in there, and they don’t spit up since the upright position keeps the milk down.

What do you think?

Twin Baby Bleeds from Rash

The twin baby girl has eczema. She has it in the folds of her arms and knees, and she is getting it on her face. You can see it here on her arm.

We bought Aquaphor and it really made the twin sister ‘s eczema disappear within a day. As long as we use it, the eczema doesn't come back.

Sometimes the twin twin father forgets to put it on the twin sister, but I do it every day. The fraternal twins have been lucky so far, not having any diaper rash. The twin boy doesn't seem to have eczema so far. The rash gets so red that it looks like blood, but it's not, so the doctor says. If you look at the fold in her left arm, you can see a patch of it.

Can you use Aquaphor for diaper rash?
