Are toddlers supposed to start potty training on one of those small floor-style potty
chairs or on the adult toilet? I told the twin twin father that the twin baby set should start with a small potty, then move on to one of the toilet trainer
inserts you can put on top of the toilet seat.
We bought the Eddie Bauer potty
chairs, and both the twin girl and twin baby boy are willing to sit on it, but they don't seem to have the cognitive ability to know what it's for. I do think that 14 months old is too young, but I suppose if we put it in the bathroom, they'll become accustomed to seeing it and it will seem natural when we can start training.

What about potty training pants
? Do we put those on from the beginning or wait until they seem to have a good handle on it?
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to start potty training? I've looked at all the potty training aids
, like the books and the Potty Monkey, but I'm sure some methods are better than others, and what about gender? I think the twin girl would be easier than the twin boy, simply because her language skills are better.
