We decided to spend a few of the coldest weeks here in Chicago away in Phoenix, so we took the fraternal twins on their first plane ride. It was just about the worst experience of my life so far--the plane ride. The twin girl cried for 2.5 hours of the 4-hour plane ride, but the twin boy was fine. I think the twin girl refused to go to sleep on the plane, so she totally skipped one of her naps and was not happy.
We were so busy trying to keep the other passengers from killing the twin girl that we practically forgot about the twin boy, but we found him asleep just where we left him, across the isle. We were lucky to have an entire row to ourselves!
After arriving at the outlaws' place just east of Phoenix, the fraternal twins settled down. My outlaws are awesome: they bought two
Graco Pack N Play
and two
front-facing carseats
for the babies, so we wouldn't have to haul all that stuff. It was set up like a dream, although you may think this sounds crazy, but the cribs were set up in the closet of the guest room. Yes, I said closet. It's a large walk-in with nothing else in there, so honestly, it's as big as a small nursery. It really worked out great because we could almost close the door to it for naptimes, and no light came in.
